Periscope Camera to Drive Demand for iPhone 15 Pro Max, Kuo Says

There are several reports about the upcoming debut of the iPhone 15 series. They are anticipated to be published within the second week of September and will be on sale the following week. Now, despite being more costly, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the best-selling model in the range of values.

According to Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will represent 35 to 40% of all iPhone 15 shipments. Compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the most popular iPhone in the second half of 2023, this represents a 10–20 percent rise.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max’s periscope lens camera, which will allow 5x–6x optical zoom compared to the current models’ 3x optical zoom, is anticipated to be one of the critical factors in its appeal. This year, the periscope lens camera will only be available on the Pro Max variant, but it should become a standard feature on the iPhone 16 Pro the following year.

Apple is believed to raise the price of the iPhone 15 Pro models by at least $100 since the periscope lens is 3–4 times more expensive than a conventional high-end lens.

There were rumors that the release of the periscope lens might cause the iPhone 15 Pro Max to be delayed. Although there may be some initial supply issues, Kuo claims that large device shipments started this week and will likely be released alongside the rest of the new range.
