Huawei Mate X3 Launched with Amazing Features

One of the first companies to enter the foldable market is Huawei. Along with other products like the Huawei P60 series, MatePad 11 (2023), Watch Ultimate, TalkBand B7, and FreeBuds 5 TWS earbuds, the company unveiled the Mate X3 foldable phone in China today. After the Mate X, Mate X2, Mate X2 4G, Mate Xs, Mate Xs, and Mate X3, the Mate X3 is the brand’s sixth foldable smartphone. Here is all the data you need to know about the X3’s features, specs, and cost.

Huawei Mate X3 Specifications

A 7.8-inch foldable OLED LTPO panel came with the Huawei Mate X3. It features a 2496 x 2224 pixel resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a touch sampling rate of up to 300 Hz, a dimming rate of 1440 Hz PWM, a pixel density of 426 PPI, and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The Mate X3’s 6.4-inch external OLED display has a resolution of 1080p. It has a resolution of 2504 x 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 10-bit colors, a P3 wide color gamut, and a dimming frequency of 1440 Hz PWM. The inner screen has a punch hole in the upper-right corner, whereas the cover display has one in the center. Kunlun glass is a feature of the Mate X3’s exterior display.

The Mate X3 has a brand-new, high-tech double-rotation water-drop hinge that seamlessly combines the phone during opening and closing. This unique hinge configuration improves the device’s overall durability while enabling a smoother operation. To increase folding reliability, the new generation hinge uses 700Mpa wing aluminum, the strongest in the industry. Thanks to the use of non-porous technology and a dual-rail drive structure that dramatically increases its reliability, the hinge is light, wear-resistant, and strong.

The Huawei Mate X3 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 4G chipset and 12 GB of RAM. It has a 4,800mAh battery that can be charged at 66W via wire, 50W wirelessly, and 7.5W via reverse wirelessly. The Collector Edition model, which has identical specifications to the standard Mate X3, has a larger 5,060mAh battery and 1TB of storage. The Mate X3 has a side-facing fingerprint scanner and runs HarmonyOS 3.1. The Huawei Mate X3 has a folded size of 11.08mm and an unfolded size of 5.3mm. It is 239 grams heavy. The device also has an IPX8 water resistance rating.

Price And Availability

Priced at 12,999 Yuan ($1,900) for the 256GB Huawei Mate X3 and 13,999 Yuan ($2,050), respectively. It is available in various colors, including Dawn Gold, Feather Sand Black, Feather White, Feather Sand Purple, and Aoyamadai. The Huawei Mate X3 Collector Edition costs 15,999 Yuan, roughly $2,340. The Mate X3 will go on sale in China on the 7 of April. There is no information yet regarding the device’s international release.
