Apple’s “Wonderlust” event Today is anticipated to disclose the company’s next significant moves, including a determined switch to USB-C for its accessories. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman shared this and other information on the most recent MacRumors Show podcast. Apple has been producing a variety of accessories with various charging connections for years. Do you recall the large 30-pin charger? Gurman claims that the time of inconsistency is going to come to an end. Similar to its smooth switch to the Lightning connection in 2012, Apple intends to implement USB-C. This might imply that everything would get a USB-C facelift, including AirPods and MagSafe power packs.
Gurman said a new MagSafe Duo model with USB-C connectivity is in the pipeline when discussing MagSafe. The true eye-catcher here? A stacking MagSafe battery pack that enables simultaneous charging of many devices. Imagine a tower of batteries, each able to run an iPhone—how convenient!
Let’s not overlook the iPhone 15 series while everyone is enthused about accessories. Gurman suggests that the Pro versions will have a lighter and stronger titanium construction. A 33% smaller bezel and a 10% longer battery life are also promised. These improvements are made possible by a cutting-edge 3nm A17 Bionic chipset and a novel process known as low-injection pressure over-molding (LIPO).
All that glitters, however, is not gold, as Gurman points out that this lighter titanium is more prone to dents. On the other hand, individuals sick of cleaning fingerprints off their phones may find the titanium surface to be a pleasant change.
